I got this for a fire tablet that I’m using as a video peep hole on my front door. I have a Google doorbell and so I wanted to mount the tablet to the wall to have a constant view of the outside.When it works, it does the job. The issue I continue having is that any movement to the cable causes the ribbon cable lock to come loose and therefore the connection to the pins isn’t solid and charging either stops or slows to the point that it can’t charge the tablet as much as the power is being drained from the screen being on. So I have to constantly re adjust the ribbon cable to make sure my tablet stays charged.Perhaps in other applications. This won’t be an issue but the locking mechanism for the ribbon cable just isn’t good.
