Bought this pickup because I wanted to be able to hook my vintage Martin 0 up to an amplifier WITHOUT having to make any physical modifications. In this regard, it fills the bill nicely. Note that the mic positioning makes a HUGE difference in the sound you will get out of this pickup. You'll most likely have to play around with it to find a position that provides good sound and doesn't interfere with your playing. One warning. If you are used to the output level from a more common powered bridge pickup, the output from this pickup will be very soft by comparison. Paired with my low powered practice amp (Blackstar Fly), I could barely get any sound out of it. Once I hooked this up to a Fishman Loudbox Mini, I could achieve acceptable levels of volume.
