Weldtool aluminum 4043 is for welding of 3003, 3004, 5052, 6061, 6063, and cast aluminum alloys. Weldtool 4043 is less sensitive to weld cracking than other aluminum alloys. The higher silicon content is to reduce its melting point and increase fluidity. Weldtool 4043 is used for many general purpose applications. Used for the welding of heat treatable base alloys and specifically 5000 and 6000 series alloys.
